The event, which took place under European Union and General Secretary of Research and Technology support, was held on Tuesday February 27 at the National Research Foundation, Auditorium L. Zervas (48 V.Konstantinou str., Athens).
The aim of the event was to present the funding potential in Information & Communications Technology through Horizon 2020, the new calls for proposals and the new EU initiatives such as Digitizing European Industry and Digital Innovation Hubs.
Representatives of the European Commission presented the new “Information & Comminication Technologies” work program for 2018-2020. The National Program Representative presented Greece’s position on this program as well as statistics on Greek participation in the ICT program of Horizon 2020. Finally, useful advice and good practices were presented by the Greek coordinators of projects 5G-Essence and ACTiCLOUD that received an excellent rating in previous invitations.
The National Documentation Center presented its actions and services as a National Contact Point for Horizon 2020, as a member of the Ideal-ist network and as a coordinator of Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas. Open Access Requirements for the results of Horizon 2020 were also be presented, as well as the Bridges of Knowledge and Cooperation initiative for the interconnection of all Greeks.
